If your school does not have a health science education program – or any program designed to prepare students for health professions, you may wish to talk to a school administrator or counselor to share your desire to start HOSA. If you can find a faculty member who will serve as the chapter advisor and at least five members who plan to pursue a health career, you could start a chapter. Any student in your school who is interested in health professions is encouraged to affiliate with HOSA. Students do not have to be enrolled in a health science education program to become a HOSA member.
