As a newly established post-secondary chapter, Lander University HOSA Chapter may not have the same level of involvement with conferences as other secondary chapters. However, Lander University is dedicated to SC HOSA in several ways, including being the only post-secondary chapter at FLC, requesting an officer visit, and hosting multiple HOSA events this semester alone.
Lander University HOSA chapter has been busy hosting a series of tabling events that aim to educate the university on HOSA, SC HOSA’s State Service Project: SC NAMI, and HOSA’s National Service Project: Be The Match. We are on track to meet our goal of raising $1,000 for our National Service project. Our chapter also attended a series of seminars on campus titled “Medically Speaking,” where we invited guest speakers from the healthcare profession to share their knowledge with students in the health occupation field. In addition, we hold regular meetings to prepare for the State Leadership Conference and to help our members hone their leadership skills.
We are proud to be among the few post-secondary chapters attending SLC and remain committed to making a positive impact within the organization.
